We use the finest terra-cotta slip and non-toxic glazes for all our wild bird feeders and houses. The glazes are food safe and the feeders are non-toxic.

The hanger rope is 3/16″ UV resistant nylon double braided for long service.

All of the terra-cotta wild bird feeders can and should be cleaned with a 9 to 1 solution of water and chlorine bleach.

The seed feeders have a drain hole in the bottom to prevent water from accumulating and the glazed top helps keep the seed dry.

We fire the bird feeders to a high temperature so they can withstand our -30°F to -40°F northern winters.

High firing keeps the water from penetrating the terra-cotta so the feeders are not damaged by freezing like other cheaper types.

A hungry or destructive squirrel would surely blunt his teeth if he were to try chewing these wild bird feeders.

It’s perfectly fine to hang this style feeder from a shepherds hook. Just make sure the cord is not so long that the feeder can hit the hook in a strong wind.

Don’t be surprised if one very cold morning you find a roosting bird inside, trying to escape the weather.

We box all of our terra-cotta wild bird feeders in sturdy corrugated boxes for safe shipping.
