This purple martin house is representative of a design found in the 1000 Islands region of Northern New York State.
The entrance holes are shaped to allow Martins to enter but exclude Starlings and Sparrows.
Martins are thought to help control bugs and mosquitoes but bats are more voracious. It’s fun to watch the Martin families grow up and take wing.
This feeder will need to be installed on a 10 to 12 foot pole. we offer local installation within 75 miles.
Each level is removable for easy cleaning. The 24 apartments are 6 by 6 by 6 inches.
We use only exterior grade materials and non- toxic heavy body stain.
